I've just bought a Q70T TV and I'm having some troubles with the remote - I wonder if anyone knows how this is supposed to work:

I've connected a Pioneer receiver through optical input and added it as a device in the remote configuration. While doing through those steps there was a power test where the TV (remote) was testing if it could turn off/on the receiver - and it could! The problem is that it only does that during the configuration and never otherwise, so pressing the power button on the remote does not turn on or off the receiver... Is there a way to achieve that? I was under the impression that I would be able to use only one remote...

Have the exact same problem with my Samsung AUE60 TV, it turns on/off the receiver during setup but never once set, it only controls the volume from that point, should be an easy fix!

Samsung QN90D - Great TV, but the remote is a mess. It is turning my Pioneer receiver on and off when adding the receiver in the Samsung remote control settings and testing it, but it does not work afterwards. That doesn't make any sense, and even though there are so many people having the same problem, Samsung isn't fixing it for years.

I have the exact same issue.  I've got a Yamaha RX-V596 connected to a QA75QN85, and I can even find the model number in list of of AVRs in my Samsung TV.

The tv will turn the AVR one and off in the setup, but once I leave the so menu,  I can only change the volume and mute, but it will not turn on or off.

I can't believe Samsung has know of this issue for at least 6 years and hasn't fixed it. That's an absolute joke!
