TVweek old TV.
issue started once the TV was off for more then a few hours (over night)
once the TV is off for a couple of hours (have not established base line yet) backlight won't turn on unless i unplug the power.
here's a video (with some Hebrew) demonstrating the issue

TVSo I find myself here because my 2 week old 55” QN95B just did the same thing. Turned it on, and I can see the picture but zero backlight. I had to do a hard power cycle to fix it. I’m really hoping this was just a one off…..

TVHow often would yours do it? Does it slowly get worse? Did you end up getting a replacement and it’s ok now?
what annoys me more is our flag ship 65” QN800A is away for repair after it just stopped turning on…. It this brand new flag ship is faulty; I’ll never buy a Samsung TV ever again….

TVI would say about once a week.
i could find any correlation between any specific usage pattern and it happening.
it didn't get any worse in the few weeks before the replacement arrive.
thing is... it happened on the replacement as well.
the 3rd replacement had other issues so I just gave up and returned it.

TVThanks so much for letting me know! I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt this one time but I’ve made a note of the date anyway!
out of interest- how did you return it? I got mine from John Lewis…
