QLED Freesat LiveTV app disappeared

Having installed the my QE49Q6FN and satellite aerial into the TV, auto-tuned all channels - it worked perfectly! "Freesat LiveTV" app available on apps menu - good. PVR also recorded channels as expected - great.

Days later the "Freesat Live TV" app disappeared. The next day it re-appeared. Days later it disappeared again, not to be seen since. The Broadcasting menu in settings is also greyed out.

How I get my Freesat LiveTV app back?

Glad to see I'm not the only person experiencing this problem and similar. The very poor Customer Service from Samsung is disappointing.

Due to the built-in PVR also being rather **** and not, or half, recording programs, I have spent hours trying different things and finally found a solution that should work for all. It's so simple as well......

Unscrew you satellite cable from the rear of your unsupported Samsung TV and re-attach them to a Freesat set-top PVR. Hey presto - a device that fully works. All channels displayed and recordings starting/stopping in this with the broadcasted programme and a SeriesLink facility that records when the next episode is shown.

Samsung should take a look into these facilities, it would seriously improve their TV's and could make their review ratings a lot higher.

I have a Humax PVR and the reason I purchased a Samsung TV was to have a one-in-all box that would be DTV, Freesat and a PVR.

I asked the Samsung rep in currys if the software running the satellite was freesat. He said there was no other software, only freesat supplied software- total *****. Trained to sell, not to give honest advice.

Humax have been making boxes with Freesat for years and the freesat software and functionality is superb. Why would Samsung want to make their own software??

I now have both my TV and Humax freesat box hooked up again. Samsung, guess what stories I am now telling about my experience with your product……...

I have this issue too on QE55QN90A, only had the Tv a month. Thought it was sat cable issue! But signal is 100%. every now and again, Freesat app just vanishes, broadcasting greyed out, have to do full power off!! Then rescan and all fine again!

Hewzy for me if you use the remote CH List button and go up then you can  set freesat and the icon cones back. no need to reboot and rescan.

Yesterday, my live Tv app disappeared on my Samsung tv. My other tvs were fine. Internet ok… spe t four hours going round in circles with settings… I can only get American live Tv. How do I reinstate the U.K. live Tv app please? Anyone know?

I tried holding down the guide button but nothing reinstalled . 
I ha e soMething called Samsung my tv x do I need to delete that?

you have to do a sodt reset. have a look online. I think its just turn off mains supply for a few mins. ive had this a couple of time
