Hi, new to the forum.

My 4 month old 2018 Q9FN has started doing quick random reboots the last few days. It suddenly qoes black, displays the Samsung logo and then is back to the same input - takes about 3-4 seconds.  So far it has only done so while using my Xbox One X (which is annoying), but at random times - 1 time each evening. I've reattached all HDMI cables and the One Connect cable, and setup all inputs from scratch. I have not done a full reset yet, although I guess that's the next step. I'm on the latest firmware.

Anyone experienced the same? Is this the fist sign of a faulty One connect box?

This issue affects all 2018 tv that I know of and is deplorable.  I have the NU8000 and I purchased the TV specifically for my AMD graphics card on my computer.  The fact it does not allow you to downgrade your firmware or restore to your previous firmware in case of a bad firmware update is awful horrible support.  The software should always provide the option to go back to a previous installation of a previous firmware version just in case you have a damaged or unusable firmware update that will break your device.  I really am hoping for an update that fixes this issue sometimes soon because this prevents me from using one of the main things I bought the TV for.

The worst part is this was completely avoidable.  If this issue does not get corrected I don't know if I'll ever purchase another Samsung product again because if I can't expect them to support The big Expensive items then how am I supposed to expect them to provide good service on the purchases I make in the future.  Can't even use the customer support feature built into the TV because that doesn't work it's really really sad.

As others have stated, the latest update 1209.4 does fix it. If it doesn't show up when you check for updates on the tv itself, download from the website and extract to usb.

Hi again
You have to format usb to ntfs then use the windows version of download to your PC copy the file with the Samsung logo onto usb extract the folder plug into tv and it works. If it gives you the failure message itemrsa just select it again took me 2 attempts and it finally worked

Love how NU8000 owners got the shaft on this, no update available for those sets, only the QLED series thus far.

WTF.

Well finally got the update onto the TV
Had to format usb to ntfs then run the extraction programme and plug into tv. So now my 65nu8000 is running 1290.4 have turned freesync ultimate on so will see how it goes in the xbox one x. Still says it's an unknown device plugged into hdmi one even after a factory reset of the TV
So had to turn on the game mode etc manually but it's now showing 4k display had to select each display mode on the xbox. Will see how this goes then.
Anyone know the full list of fixes this firmware has addressed

Why is the FW not posted under the NU series as well? And why do we have to go through the hassle of extracting to USB - they cannot just push this 'over the wire' so our sets are updated via web services?!

Hi
Sorry you are not correct in your post. I own a nu8000 and installed the 1290.4 firmware on Monday. This firmware is for all the 2018 samsung range nu8000 through to the first qled models. So please download the firmware onto usb stick as described in this thread and you will be sorted
