Hello,
We have only just brought a new TV. It is about 2 weeks old.
Turned it on today & there are two purple patches on the screen.
Picture test does not show these up but once we return to the tv shows they are back.
Two purple patches on the TV
Any help or suggestions welcome.

Hello KirstyH29. Could you confirm your TV model number, along with the software version it's currently running? This can usually be found by follow these steps here.

The first thing you should do is inform your retailer of this fault. It does seem to be an issue with Samsung TV's, as you can see from this tread. Faults like this are normally a faulty TV and as it is within the first 4 weeks you can ask for a refund or replacement from your retailer, rather than repairing.

Seems to be running the latest version, so let’s try resetting your TV. This will reset Picture, Sound, Channel, Smart Hub, and all other settings, except for the network settings, default settings. You can do this from Menu > Support > Self Diagnosis > Reset.
Why do you have your customers go through resetting the TV's when you know it is a faulty panel? Admit that Samsung's TV's are buggy, which is, shown by people on here with these issues.

I'm struggling with the very odd notion that any brand doesn't have customers reporting a wide variety of issues - large or small- with their product, or that of basic troubleshooting not being a good idea; so I'm more intrigued as to why those purple patches don't appear on the Picture Test.
@KirstyH29: Do those patches appear on different sources?
