Hi all
Have any of you had this issue before? What to do? Talked with Samsung Support and reset is done.
Bought the TV in 2018 and it’s a QE55Q7FAM
Thank you!!

Hej Jonas. Fandt du nogensinde grunden / fejlen, da vores gør nøjagtigt det samme ? Takker Mvh / Jens.

I want to add for the record that I'm experiencing exactly the same issue as shown in that video, and also when the picture bounces "up", the colors are a bit washed out. It started slow, happening only occasionally with only a few bounces per minute, but degraded to flickering over the course of a few weeks. If you have a tv doing this, don't wait, call support early. We had a service rep come diagnose it, he looked at the errors and said it was a mainboard issue, but he replaced that part and it didn't help at all. They then said the screen needed to be replaced, but that Samsung doesn't make the part anymore, so I'm unable to confirm whether a screen replacement is truly needed. I gather the tech didn't really know. It's only a 3 year-old TV, obviously disappointing and won't replace with another samsung (in our experience, quality and support have devolved in the last 15 years). More importantly I wanted to document this for the next person who looks. Model #qn55q7fna, purchased Nov. 2018.

I replied to this topic this morning, but the post is gone now and I don't know why (I have a suspicion that I won't write here). Apologies if this ends up as a duplicate later. I want to add that I have the same problem, model no. qn55q7fna, purchased late 2018. The TV has had moderate use for ~3.5 years, no damage or anything like that. A factory reset, changing eco/power settings, etc. made no difference. A service tech came out, checked the error codes, said it was the mainboard. Came out later, replaced the mainboard, no effect. Said they needed to replace the screen, but later called back and said that Samsung doesn't make the screen anymore, so I can't confirm whether a screen replacement actually helps. The service contractor has cut us loose at this point. I'm a bit skeptical, personally. Pretty disappointed overall, our last Samsung TV lasted ~10 years.

Hi,
Just came across this post.
My parents have the exact same problem with the Samsung QE55Q7FNA. Did everything other suggested but nothing solves the problem. Has any of you replaced the One Connect cable already? Or the One Connect box itself?

I unfortunately couldn't be at home when the tech replaced the mainboard, so it's unclear to me whether that was part of the oneconnect box or in the tv panel itself. So I _think_ the oneconnect box wasn't replaced, but I can't say for sure (again, whatever they replaced didn't fix anything). I'd also be curious about whether anyone tried just replacing the oneconnect cable. Seems like the kind of fix I'd attempt with other hardware, but without a spare I have no way to check.

Thank you for the quick reply.
After some research I see people taping off a part of the ribbon cable from the right or the left side of the board. Lot of screen issues (flickering, no screen, horizontal lines) seems to get fixed (read get rid of the symptoms) by it.
On the other hand if many people experience this problem, Samsung should fix it.

Could you explain the ribbon cable taping or share some information how to find it? Is it the ribbon cable on the mainboard, inside the TV panel itself or in the Oneconnect box? If you have tried it yourself or plan to do so, I'd be interested in hearing what you find. I've already bought an inexpensive replacement TV, but it would be very nice if I could get this working for future use or reselling.

Hi Jonas
Your panel is defective, it can be fixed by removing the faulty 10 pin esd protection diode.
there are 6 in total, 3 on each side furthest to the right and left of the long thin prints on the panel. just remove the defective one and it will work again without flickering.
You can find the defective one by touching it, it gets hot.
