Hello everyone, I cannot find the setting to disable the on screen volume display on my Q80T. Is there a hidden setting somewhere? If not, can we get the option added by Samsung?

Thank you!

Hello everyone:

I have the same problem with a QN95BA (2022) TV and a Bose 900 soundbar connected with eARC.

This bothers me as well, been searching for an solution for forever for my 58AU7100. It truely disrupts the whole experience. Please Samsung, listen to your custumers, update these devices and think a little more about the customer experience of your products.

It seems so simple, just give us a toggle in the audio settings to enable/disable on-screen volume interface. This is nothing new in the consumer electronics world. Very old TVs are able to...

Very sad to see samsung ignoring this with no plans on fixing it. I am now stuck with samsung tv+soundbar totaling $5k, and this ***** volume popup is insanely annoying every day. I know my next tv wont be samsung (i am also not happy with q990c soundbar).

My last Samsung setup that I had was an 75Q90R with their HW-Q90R Soundbar. Same issue but if I was using the Apple TV remote the volume indications wouldn’t come up. This year I upgraded to a Samsung 77S95C TV and paired it with a Q990C Soundbar and use mostly an Apple TV 4K 2nd Gen. For the longest time this setup was great… that was until the Soundbar firmware got updated (10/23) to 1003.6.  Now when I adjust the volume on using the Apple TV remote I get the terrible OSD volume indication. I absolutely HATE this change! As a Samsung customer, you have this expensive beautiful TV and you’re trying to watch content but if you want to adjust the volume you get this huge ugly popup that takes you right out of the experience.  Do Samsung SW engineers not use their own products? Or do they just not think? Ridiculously dumb idea on Samsungs part to intentionally force their customers of their flagship TV’s to put up with these ugly OSD notifications without even considering an option to disable them!

I wrote to the office of the CEO for the U.S. and got a vague response back that basically said thank you but we probably won’t take your feedback into consideration. After this experience there will be no more Samsung TVs and soundbars for me.

Just had two Samsung Techs at my house for this. They called their main Samsung Tech department, and NOPE, no way to turn off this stupid display that Samsung considers a 'feature".  Just clueless at Samsung.   The main tech department says "but it only displays for a few seconds when you adjust the volume"!!!!   No S#$(!!!!

When I'm watching something on my 98" screen, I don't need to see this stupid indicator showing me where the Audio Input is coming from.   They should have had this as an OFF/ON option like the OSD for the TV volume, which you can do.   I'm very pissed about this.

I posted about this months and months ago and there’s been so many people complaining about this. Samsung haven’t got a clue how to get rid of this dumb feature.  Iv spoke to so many people from Samsung and they can’t or won’t help.  It’s there and the only way it will stop happening is if they do an update to help there customer. But there 15 pages of people complaining about this and Samsung haven’t even got back to anyone regarding how the can fix this mess on the screens they sell us.  Iv got 7 85 inch Samsung TVs and I’m all so pissed about this and the fact they won’t help. The engineers come to my home and went through the TVs to try and disable it but like I told them there’s no way of removing it. So the engineers ain’t got a clue either. Shame on Samsung for ignoring there customers.  In a few years when I change my TVs I will not be buying SAMSUNG. UNLESS THEY DO A UPDATE AND GET RID OF A MASSIVE SIGN TELLING ME IM TURNING MY TV UP.

No, and I have to say every time I change the volume since I bought my tv it has irritated me.

At first opportunity to replace my Samsung with a different brand I will. ( My LG does not have this issue).

this rates very poorly on the brand, that for something as simple as this has not addressed the problem with a simple on/off switch in what has been reported on here since 2020.

Hello Samsung, yes, like everyone hear, I agree this needs to be removed.  Just upgraded to the S90C from a Q9FN. This message did not appear on the Q9FN even though the interface gui is practically the same.  This is ***** poor. I have to adjust the volume frequently due to commercials, loud sounds, etc..  And everytime I do, my wife and I have to see this stupid earc volume OSD message.   Please remove it or give us the option to disable it..  Poor Taste and Execution Samsung.
