I have had consistent issues with recording to hard disk since buying this TV. It seems apparent from all the other forum postings that I am not alone. I have had to wipe my external hard drive a few times when it got corrupted with faulty recordings, losing all recorded programmes, and have had to retune the TV regularly to workaround the "too many reservations" bug. This, of course, wipes all the scheduled recordings.
I've already stated I won't buy another Samsung, but why don't Samsung ever release new firmware for this TV? It's not that old but has never had a firmware update.
