Good afternoon.

Not been on here for a while thankfully not needed to.

I recently purchased the qn95a.

When the TV is on the one connect box makes a high pitched buzzing noise.

And when its switched off the noise changes more to a hum.

Does anybody out there with this TV have a noisy box?

Thanks for any replies.

so, the inside of the one connect box, with the two culprits: the two coils on the power supply board.  My guess it that the coil whine could be resolved (or reduced dramatically) with some epoxy, or high temp silicone.

however, this would void my warranty, so samsung has offered me a swap. Still contemplating this, as I don't want a tv with the exact same problem. So far, all 4 power supply boards have had the exact same problem.

Get the same high pitched noise from the QN94A assuming it uses very similar parts but just inside the tv itself instead of the one connect box. I think its coming from the Power supply board as it changes pitch based on power usage like brightness, loading up apps, navigating apps etc.
Samsung technical support say its in "Spec" i told them its not 😂 they are escalating it.
No way should i hear my tv from 10ft away playing a high pitched song all day.

Samsung told me its in spec again. I asked them how they could assess the noise was in spec when they didnt know how loud it was... Had to go two complaint levels up which ended up in a UK call centre. Guy just said oh yea will book in a repair.

What a nightmare. Lets see what they say when they see it.

Hi

Don't know if anyone is still posting about this, got the QN95A last Sunday, the One Connect box is humming in various intensities, it definately sounds like a resonant coil noise, initially i thought it may be a transformer coil not impregnated correctly, but seeing the picture above, i'm in agreement that the two coils are resonating, has anyone had a resolution to this yet?

I recently got my 85” Frame and it has the same buzzing sound from the one connect box. I will contact Samsung regarding replacing it

Mines been like it out of the box, the panel seems fine at the minute, ive thought about contacting Samsung, but after reading previous posts doesn't seem much point, also if these boxes are all manufactured the same they'll all probably suffer the same to more or lesser extent, totally agree with Leon2021 post, if it was out of warranty i'd be in there painting on some epoxy potting compound, if it gets any worse i'll be contacting Samsung, its not like these are a few hundred quid tellys!

Please keep us informed.

I bought my tv from richer sounds so thinking about going through them first, they are usually pretty good with this kind of thing.

The problems are still there especially when watching hdr content when screen noise is unbearable at times.

I initially bought a Sony oled but my room was too bright  beginning to wish just shut curtains!

Anyway thanks for keeping us informed I know what it's like with samsung!

Strangely the one connect box has gone silent over the last few days - and yes it is still plugged in 🤣, i have no idea why this would be, as before when it was even In standby it sat there humming, now nothing very odd, on a side issue my tv seems to lag behind the up and down paddle on the new smart remote it seems like it doesn't correctly count the up and down clicks if you skip a few channels either way at a time and sometimes i can be left with a black screen for a few seconds while it sorts itself out, I'll just use the standard remote for now!
