Hi, my tv has been brilliant until the other day. It was working perfectly fine but now when I turn it on only the white light at the bottom of the center of the tv comes on (along with the red led stand-by light flashes briefly). I have tried shining a torch on the screen but there is nothing there.

I have tried unplugging stuff and even tired an alternative power source, but as I said there appears to be power in the unit but none to the screen.

I do not know if the tv did anything prior to this happening as it was set to turn off in the night while I was asleep.

Essentially I would love to have it fixed as I have owned it from new. What I would like to know is, is it a relatively simple fix?

Hi @usrpguk, sorry for delay but  your post may not have been noticed by many at  the time and it is primarily a customer to customer forum.

I  notice that your model appears to be a 2010 set and assume you have had it for some time, threfore assuming you wouldn't have warranty for this now.  Anyway firstly I would unplug your set for an extended period, say 10 minutes and check again. Press and hold the power button for around 20 seconds when plugging back in to reset.   However it may well be a faulty power board and if all fails best bet would be to contact Samsung/retailer for advice.
