iPlayer "Resume" Does not Work

I've got a really dumb question, why when I return to watching a program on iPlayer does it always start from the beginning again even though I select Resume?

PS. I should add that it's a brand new MU9000 straight out of the box tonight, so maybe it needs leaving switched on for a while to pickup some firmware upgrades.

Hi Shaunf,  latest firmware for your set is 1155.1 which was issued 0n 27 December.  If by any chance you have earlier firmware you could update via USB,some updates later arriving OTA to all sets.  . Whilst you don't state size of Tv will be firmware  for MU9000 as shown here on this model. http:/http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE49MU9000TXXU/www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE49MU... If you have latest update or that does not resolve the issue I would suggest you reset  the Smart Hub on page 40 of eguide htthttp://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201801/20180123103332177/ENG_KTMDVBEUL-3.0.7_180111....    Certainly should resume from where you left off, if still issues think  you would need to contact support or seek further advice from Mods.

Well the problem has sorted itself out of its own accord as has the iPlayer fast forward feature which also did not work. So it looks like it shipped with problem firmware which has since upgraded.
