why can't I access all 4 from my samsung tv? Casting drops out all the time and it won't even record scheduled programs

What's the model code and software version of your TV? Go to Menu > Support > Contact Samsung or Home > Settings > Support > Contact Samsung.

We're working with the app provider to bring All4 to our mutual customers as soon as we can, so do keep checking the Smart Hub.
Can you provide more details about the drop outs you're experiencing? What HDD are you using to record the programmes to? Can you also check the signal information of the channel you're recording, head to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information. If the signal is weak, the recording may fail.

HI, I am using a USB powered flash SSD and have tried thumb drives. Do I need to use an externally powered HDD? Apparently it will record if the TV is turned on.
Signal strength is 53 and quality 82 for channel 4 this evening.
