I am reposting this thread because it got incorrectly merged and I suggest whoever is moderating the forums to read my post very carefully.

The latest 2106 firmware update which was pushed out through an OTA update (not uploaded on the Samaung website yet) has removed the option to select HGIG mode.

Through AVSforums, we know that this is currently affecting the 2024 models, specifically the S90D, S95D and QN90D. It is unknown what other models have been affected. Edit: We now know that it is affecting the 2025 models

The purpose of this thread post is to find out which models have been affected by the Tizen OS update, It might even be affecting the 2023 models.

I ask the community, if your TV Model has been affected and I have not mentioned it, please write your model down below

I am attaching an image below which showcases our problem. As you can see the option to choose HGIG is completely removed.

Edit  1: I am linking to the more active thread, please engage in writing your comments there

Edit 2: No Game HDR (HGIG) has not been integrated into Game HDR (Original) in the Game Bar. Game HGIG is to do with tone mapping, and the presets are to do with picture settings. Even on Game HDR (Original) it's tone mapping to 4000 nits. Anyone saying anything otherwise is spreading misinformation.

I'm from the UK and them telling you that you're the first person to go to them about this problem is a lie because I have raised it to support and they did a remote session with me to take a picture of said problem

I thought they was lieing
I told them, have any of them looked at forums or posts.
Ppl all around are complaining about this.

They keep rising my problem to higher technical team.
They get in contact me with this following day.
( This has been going on for the last 7days not a single person has contact me yet)
They still believe this is not a bug, nothing is wrong.
The feature has just been moved.
1st it was moved to game genre
Then it was moved into HDR+ gaming
No matter how much I talk to them it not working.
I told them to bring a tech and prove it they will not.

But yet they some how still "investigating it"

After being on the phone with them for over 1h they seemed to have given up, said a higher person will contact me later to say (that has not happened yet)
I've been recording all most all my calls, it is sicking.

I finally got some info after speaking to higher team.

It is a fault, they are working on it.
After a week of calling they finally admitted there a fault with the software.

Thanks for calling them Harry. They told me the same thing, however the lack of an official statement from Samsung is poor and who knows if they will follow through on a fix even when identifying the issue? That's why we have to keep the noise up. Also I've linked a thread that's more active in my original post, of course it's not our model but they share the same problem as us
