HELP -now tv app

My tv won’t allow me to download the Now tv app. It states ‘this app doesn’t support your tv’ it’s a 2020 model and can’t find any clear reasons for this not to work!? Help please

If your TV won't download the app, it is because the developers of the app haven't made it suitable for the software on the TV.

You'll need to reach out to the App Developers. Context details in app play store

Assume that the TV has been kept up to date with any firmware updates during the 5 years ? Also assume this is a relatively smart TV.

In rhe available apps list, is NowTV app shown ? I guess you have Netflix, Disney etc also available? Do you use any of the other apps without any issues ?

I use NowTV. I find it more convenient and cheaper than the alternative sky or virgin. However in the past I have had some issues with compatibility with some devices. Additionally certain things like screen sharing NowTV to other screens gets blocked due to media rights.

If NowTV is shown in your app list but rather has an error upon installation then it may be compatibility issues. If it is not in your available apps then this might mean the TV simply doesnt support it. If you remember some 5 years ago there used to be a small HDMI box that NowTV used. Only in the past few years has NowTV been integrated into smart TV devices.

Perhaps some google search might also find some info.

Hi @Hrv25. If by any chance you have a serif Tv unfortunately Now Tv is not supported. Otherwise should be compatible with sets from 2016 as long as meet internet speed requirements . I am assuming it is a Samsung Tv. However as mentioned ensure you have the latest firmware update. Some information here https://help.nowtv.com/article/what-smart-tvs-can-i-use-to-watch
