Hello would really appreciate if someone can help. I just bought a S95C and I have a Sky Q box compatible with HDR. The settings on the sky box are configured correctly to UHD 10 bit. The picture settings on the Samsung are not working as they should. ST.2084 and HLG are greyed out (Gamma) and HDR Tone Mapping is set to Static and greyed out. I would really appreciate some help as I have tried everything.

Hi @trivium33  Do you have Input signal plus turned on for the relevant port which is required for HDMI connections?  Go to Settings-General-External Device Manager-Input Signal Plus.  Colour space is best set to native on this model.  Some general tips in this article https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/s95c-oled/settings

Yes I already have that set correctly. HLG and ST.2084 are still greyed out (Gamma) and HDR Tone Mapping. As said the Sky box is HDR compatible and should be emitting HDR.

@trivium33 Thought I would mention it just in case, do you have an HDR Plus setting on this model though I get HLG without activating this on an older model but not St.2084( with SkyQ) other ideas would be to change to UHD 8 bit and if that works revert back to 10 to see if that offers a solution. Otherwise could reboot both TV and the SkyQ Box and check again.

Unfortunately, I have tried all those suggestions and had no success. I've tried changing HDMI cables. It is driving me a bit mad. I also have a PS5 attached and HDR settings work absolutely fine on that.

As far as I can see, there is no HDR Plus setting, I believe it should be automatically activated.

Oh right, have you tried different port in case issue with one. Could get in touch with Samsung Support to see if they have any further advice.

Unfortunately, I have and it still didn't work. The difficulty is knowing whether this is a Samsung or Sky issue, or both, although it seems like more of a Sky issue given the PS5 is working. I am sure there are those out there though that have managed to get their Sky on HLG on their S95C. I've read endless forums, and haven't managed to find anything I haven't done.

Obviously a frustration, possibly could be compatibility issue between the two devices.

I had a similar issue, but then realised it was the content on sky q. For example when I watched sports uhd hdr channel, the HLG option became available... but was not available when I watched a uhd hdr movie I downloaded... tried others sources connected to the TV and they worked fine. Hence the problem seems to be sky q and the awful HLG implementation.

I had the identical problem and it does appear to be down to the Sky Q box. HDR implementation on the Samsung S95C is 10 bit but I can only see HDR/UHD content correctly if I set the Sky Q output to 8 bit. This  is particularly odd as the box detects my TV as 10 bit compatible. If I set to 10 bit output the picture appears too dark to be useable.
