I own an LG TV so cannot comment on samsungs gamemode specifically as I only owned a qn95b for a few days. (It sounds to me like a refresh-rate/resolution conflict though, do you still get sound from your pc when it blackscreens?)
Had a little google and people were recommending labeling the input as a pc and enabling 'input +' and ensuring you are using the hdmi 2.1 port on your tv to pc
