External Hard Drive to Pause Live TV

I have just bought a new 65" S90D OLED tv but I don't subscribe to Sky/Virgin etc but use a digital aerial to access terrestrial tv.  As the tv won't allow me to pause/rewind/fast forward live tv I need an external hard drive to plug into a USB port on the tv.  Can anyone advise which type of hard drive I need (capacity/USB 3.2 etc etc).  I'm not bothered about having the ability to record just be able to pause/rewind/fast forward.

@Stewart1966: According to the user manual, "it is recommended to use a USB hard disk that supports USB 2.0 or later and 5,400 rpm or higher. RAID-type USB hard drives and USB memory are not supported."
