Hi,

I received an email from this address: casvc.55@samsung.com

The email is related to a prorata offer.

Is this a valid email?

Thanks

Hello and welcome! :smiling-face:

I don't recognise this email adress so I would advise caution. Were you expecting an email from Samsung at all? Where are you based, please?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I’m located in Canada.

I have a TV in a repair center waiting for a piece from Samsung and I received this email.

What I found suspicious it’s :

1- The case number I received from Samsung is not the same on the email

2- In the email, it’s only mentionned a generic description of my TV and not the exact model and serial number.

3- I found suspicious the steps to follow.

1- Answer the email with the mention « I accepted » with my name and my address

2- Someone will contact me to take the TV at my home

3- When the TV will be at a Samsung entrepot, I Will received a check by Purolator in 14 days.

All this things sounds very suspicious to me.

Thanks

@SVez: I certainly understand your concerns. For peace of mind I recommend contacting Samsung Support in your region, as they will be able to shed further light on this for you, and may be able to put you in contact with the Service Centre directly.

It's always best to err on the side of caution in these instances, and I'm confident that Samsung Canada will be able to address any questions you might have about your repair status, and the origin of the email.
