@JimmyG77 @xSteveuk  That link does not mention anything about earc though.    Enhanced Audio return channel allows users to  transmit high quality audio.  @JimmyG77  possibly  you may need to reset the earc mode to Auto.  see more here https://www.samsung.com/levant/support/tv-audio-video/what-is-earc-and-how-to-set-on-samsung-smart-t...  The thing is though that some features are supported in this model, it does not have HDMI 2.1 inputs but still supports earc  and users can pass uncompressed Dolby Atmos to  via True HD over a single HDMI connection.  However DTS is  not supported and HDMI 2.0 will not provide the high bandwidth.   An extensive review of the Tv here https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/au8000  see more on HDMI 2.1  via this link  https://www.whathifi.com/advice/what-hdmi-21-everything-you-need-to-know

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
