Hi all

A little confused over the correct sound settings for my Samsung Q80 TV and Q600C soundbar.

I have the soundbar connected by a decent 8K HDMI cable going to the eARC port on the TV

I have the TV sound set to:  Q-Symphony TV + Q6C Series Soundbar (HDMI-eARC)

I have the Sound Mode set to: Adaptive Sound

I subscribe to the highest Netflix service

No matter whether I'm watching a  Dolby Atmos Netflix, PS5 or anything else, whenever I go into Sound / Expert Settings, Dolby Atmos is always greyed out?

I currently have my Sound Expert settings set as follows

Balance: Greyed Out

Woofer & Equaliser: Left set at default settings

HDMI-eARC Mode: Auto (only Auto or Off available)

Digital Output Audio Format: Auto (only Auto or PCM is available, Pass-through is greyed out)

Dolby Atmos: Greyed Out

Auto Volume: Greyed out

Sound Feedback: Low

Simultaneous Optical output: Off

Surely I should be at least getting Dolby Atmos on Netflix?

Many thanks

Hello, what makes you thing it is NOT Dolby Atmos ?

I usually check the miniscule soundbar display or try the Smarttthings app, Soundbar.

I'm presuming, possibly wrongly,  that as the option to turn Dolby Atmos on or off is completely greyed out, it's not working?

won't let me edit above post.

Downloaded smartthings but my soundbar doesn't have network capabilities hence Smartthings can't see it

Hi,

Can I ask did you sort this, I am having the exact same issues as yourself, all connections are correct, all firmware is the latest. When I am through the tv speakers Dolby Atmos is working though as soon as I either do Q symphony or just the Q600c on its own it is as you say greyed out.

Regards

Daz

Interested to know if there is a solution to this.  I'm having exactly the same issue as you.   Fingers crossed somebody knows the answer!
