Whilst watching my 8-month old TV last night, the screen suddenly went black and hasn't come back since. The audio is still there. It doesn't matter what input I try - even unplugged all the inputs- still no picture just audio. Any ideas anyone?
UPDATE: Jan 2022. Why oh why did I trust Samsung? This TV model is obviously faulty and yet they persist in fobbing off with promises of repairs that last a few months before recurring.
I should have taken notice of alarm bells after the first purchase was returned to Curry's after just a few days - as it kept switching itself off. It was replaced with the same model ; this one lasted six months. In June 2021, I reported the SAME fault and it was repaired. And then - another 6 months later (just before Xmas), it goes AGAIN - no picture. They came today to repair it - and they couldn't. "It's probably the motherboard" they say.
I am done with SAMSUNG. If they think I spent £2000 on this TV and now expect me to just let it rest then they're mistaken.

still no news from samsung technical support and starting to get angry. My 8k tv did not last even 1 year and I realize that the problem is well known for this particular model Q700T

UPDATE. TV screen replaced, seems to be working fine for now, fingers crossed.Just waiting for plastic back to be replaced as it cracked when taken off during changing the screen over. Still got four years left on guarantee so not so worried.

Our TV is 7 months old. This has happened to ours too. Advised by Samsung to cold start. It initially worked. 2 days later (yesterday) happened twice in one evening. Today black screen has sound. Won’t cold start keeps cycling on and off with no picture just sound until you cut the power supply. This is the most we’ve ever spent on a tv too. Have just put LG which was a cheap end of line that’s 6 years old from bedroom into lounge. The stress it caused at 10pm yesterday meant we went to bed in a bad mood so neither of us could get back off to sleep

Went on chat with Samsung last evening. They are sending an engineer out to look at it.
Today the repair company got in contact and said they needed to order a new screen and then will arrange the repair.
This afternoon was told that Samsung no longer stock the screen and Samsung will get in touch with us.

My TV 8k 55t700 is five months old and started to go black screen with sound, then it started to shut down and you hear the replay clicking on and off as it restarts. I contacted the mail order company I bought it from and they did not really want to help me. So in the end after having big arguments on the phone with them they gave me a refund and told me to bin the TV 😞 . Now what I didn't tell them is im in fact I am electronics engineer 🙂 so here my theory on the fault, I can't see it been the screen, there is a drive from the mother board to the Tcon board that's where the picture is made and sent to the grid on the screen. Looking in that area if I disconnect the board drive my TV comes back on no picture just a blank raster. The fault looks really GPU to me im lucky I own a rework machine at my shops so Monday im going reworking the BGA GPU and Tcon board. will keep you all posted on my results
