Whilst watching my 8-month old TV last night, the screen suddenly went black and hasn't come back since. The audio is still there. It doesn't matter what input I try - even unplugged all the inputs- still no picture just audio. Any ideas anyone?
UPDATE: Jan 2022. Why oh why did I trust Samsung? This TV model is obviously faulty and yet they persist in fobbing off with promises of repairs that last a few months before recurring.
I should have taken notice of alarm bells after the first purchase was returned to Curry's after just a few days - as it kept switching itself off. It was replaced with the same model ; this one lasted six months. In June 2021, I reported the SAME fault and it was repaired. And then - another 6 months later (just before Xmas), it goes AGAIN - no picture. They came today to repair it - and they couldn't. "It's probably the motherboard" they say.
I am done with SAMSUNG. If they think I spent £2000 on this TV and now expect me to just let it rest then they're mistaken.

Dear Alhants
Exactly the same problem and I paid the same amount of money and I get very robotic responses from Samsung.
Did you manage to get anywhere with this?
Thanks

no, got no where. Happened 3 times with me. Ended up getting gmy money back from th3 store, and buying a Sony TV. Awful trying to deal with Samsung. Worst customer service ever. Don't know why that model was not pulled from the shelves a long time ago

There should be a class action suit against Samsung for this. I wonder how others in this thread got along.

BTW, everyone in this thread should see this https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tv/starting-a-class-action-lawsuit-against-samsung-for-their-fau...

Bought the model in 12-05-2021 and had the same problem and the LCD was replaced in 10-02-2022. On 2-05-2023 the tv was taken for a substitution of the Open Cell, as they told me, because a similar problem appeared (loop of turn off and on). If the problem persists in the next 3 years after this last fix, samsung Portugal will provide me a new equivalent model. I'm sure it will happen, so I can't understand why they did not did it already.

Hi,
we have 8 of these screens in Paris working in a monitor stack for Broadcast.
4 of the 8 have failed with the same thing. Backlight works but no display.
looking at the message boards, this is certainly a faulty item.

We have used the same screens for a display in Paris. Out of 8, 4 of them have failed. Backlight works but no display. It is the processor board, not the screen.
no way this is coincidence. It’s certainly a faulty product and I would be insisting on my money back from Samsung if it was my own money.

Unfortunately this has just happened to me for the 2nd time. Really hope Samsung sort it

I bought TWO of these both started to fail every 3 months, it starts with lines at the bottom of the screen. Now here the twist im in an electronics engineering and when the guys came out to the TVs under warranty...all they replaced was the screens NO Tcon nor psus
So because the fault starts with lines at the bottom of the screen it has to be the cold pressed flexys on the screen its self 🤔
Anyway im sick of speaking to Samsung about this, lets fight back guys and use the power of the internet and lawyer ?
We should all start a class action and each one of us file the fault we are experiencing, these TVs are not fit for purposes and last less than 3 months a time never mind 3 years.
SAMSUNG YOU SHOULD BE ABSOLUTELY EMBARRASSED !!!
I WORKED FOR SONY AND THEY NEVER TREATED THERE CUSTOMERS LIKE YOU HAVE US.

Can anyone please share what samsung customer service or technician said about the real issue or problem? What we need to repair? Is it one connect or motherboard or whats causing this issue?
