Apps from Unknown sources on TV

Hi, I'm relatively new to the community.

Was just wondering if we are able to download apps on the newer models of a Samsung TV.

I was unable to find settings to allow installations from unknown sources.

I am not sure if it is under developer options or something similar.

Or has samsung completely disabled the ability to use apps outside their store?

I would not recommend installing apps on Tv from unknown sources,it is at your risk.

Samsung runs on Tizen OS, so you need applications for this OS. In addition, it is forbidden to install programs from unknown sources on your TV. Technically, you can get around this ban by registering with Samsung as a developer and getting a developer access code. But nobody develops unofficial programs for Tizen, so it's not worth it.
