AppleTV Sound pass though to Optical Output QA65S95DAW

Hi Samsungers,

Loving the picture quality on the S95D and new Tizen interface.

Need some help understanding how to best set up and troubleshoot Apple TVOS18.0 ( yes the new one) ARC sound pass through to the Optical out put.
Heres the Flow

AppleTV <==HDMI==> SaunsungS95D <--optical-->Yamaha WXA-50

Question
why does this, the simplest of connections and use cases have the need to swap sound models to get some output !
eg
Apple Music  = no sound in Auto / ARC / Atmos
Apple Music  =  sound in Dolby 5.1
Apple TV Movies = Sound in Auto / ARC / Atmos

If any one has a goto guide for this I'd love to know where

Arc is only possible using a hdmi its a two way signal which a optical cable can not do. Try instead of using a optic to yamaha using a hdmi from the tvs hdmi arc port.

Yamaha WXA50 only has optical input no HDMI.

Unfortunately its not possible to pass atmos with a optical cable in the sound settings you will need to use either pcm or dolby
