Hi all,
I have the opportunity of buying the 2018 model QE49Q6F or the QE49Q60R or the QE49QE67R.
I’ve tried to compare the 2019 models and it seems the older model has a higher spec regarding screen quality/PQI?? Am I wrong, which one is the best please.
regards
Craig

Hi @M0BUL From my research (not everywhere lists this in the features) Q60R has PQI of 2400 Both Q67R and Q6F 2500, so not much difference in that regard. Various places you can check and it will be subjective to some extent, however think Rtings is quite reliable. In their view Q6FN is a bit better (do not mention Q67R but will be similar) as brighter, particularly HDR and produces wide colour gamut. SDR Brightness 8.6 as opposed to Q60R's 7.8 and for HDR 7.6 to 6.4 respectively. Picture quality rated at 7.9 compared to 7.5. Q60R viewed as having faster response time and the Tizen UI has quicker navigating.
Whilst for most ratings not a significant difference more marked in movies, for Tv shows, Sports and Gaming statistically insignificant (in gaming Q60R is marginally better).
Can see a bit more detail here https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/samsung-q6fn-vs-samsung-q60r/623/780?usage=7318&threshold=0....
Whilst peak bright brightness does not seem to be specified my findings show the Q60R is believed to be below 1000 nits, the Q6F does reach 1000 nits. This is quite a bit lower lower than the Q9FN’s 2000 and the Q8FN and Q7FN’s 1500 nits of peak brightness, however these models are far more expensive. 1000 nits for many will be fine. Though I have not personally owned models from the past few years, others may have useful input.
