I got a QEF1 50 and have been bamboozled about accessing the USB recordings. The TV came with only the standard dumb Samsung remote.
My findings...
You can't access the Recordings with the dumb remote. Bad, but true.
My workround...
I bought, from Amazon, for a tenner, an aftermarket version of the slim smart remote BN59-01385A.
Now I can access the recordings by using the "123" button and scrolling right, past the numbers, to get to the recordings screen. This has to be done from Live TV.
The bonus...
Now I have a voice controlled TV! So I don't even have to perform the above. I can just say "recordings" and up it comes. And all the other voice commands are there too!
Another bonus...
This remote doesn't require line-of-sight, as it works off radio too. (This isn't true of the slim smart remote without voice button, as it is IR only, and no radio.)
As if all this improvement wasn't enough, the slim remote is much more intuitive and handy once you suss out the buttons. I dont use the original remote at all now.
So I'm glad I took the plunge/risk for a tenner, but shame on you, Samsung for this not working out-of-the-box.
