My Samsung 55q95tc doesn't want to do 4k120hz on my Xbox Series X when using my Denon X3800h (6 hdmi connections on 4k120hz).
When using the One Connect box it works with the same cable. I also tried using a 8k 48 bits hdmi cable, no go.
When using the One Connect box i cannot do DTS:X on my Xbox, only Dolby Atmos.
Who has the solution?

Yup, that's what i was meaning to say with 8k 48 bits cable, its
is indeed hdmi 2.1. Both the original Xbox cable as well as the cable(s) i bought later

Hallo @Dyce2908,

Thank you for your message. So when connecting the Series X to the One connect box you get  4k120hz but not when you connected it with the Denon X3800h? And are you using HDMI 2.1 or 2.1b?

With kind regards,

Ajay

Ajay,
That's exactly what happens indeed.
Everything is at the latest firmware version so there's nothing to gain there. I have used the original Xbox cable which supports 8k and 4k120hz and also used another 8k cable which supports it.

Hi @Dyce2908

Our Product Specialist just got back to us.

Unfortunately your model TV does not support DTS:X, hence you can't get it to work.

Regarding 4k@120Hz, this should be possible.

1. Go to settings in your XBOX to set it to 2160p

2. "Expand" the HDMI signal for 4K. Go to Input Device Management in the General Menu and activate the HDMI port via which your XBOX is connected.

3. Select the option Game Mode in the tv. You should find this in the General Menu of the tv.

4. Check if the XBOX is connected via HDMI port 4. This is the only HDMI port that supports 4K@210Hz.

It might be possible some things got lost in translation, my apologies in advance for that if that is the case.

Keep me posted!

Laurens, the issue is not getting 4k120hz to work through the connect box. That alteady works but then dts:x isn't supported. The issue is getting 4k120hz to work through my Denon x3800h AVR which supports 4k120hz on all of its ports. The Denon seems to be setup correctly.

Hallo @Dyce2908,

With third party devices which are connected like this these kind of issues can happen. We recommend to contact Denon about this.

With kind regards,

Ajay
