Hi,
I recently bought a Tab S6 for my partner but am having a problem with the WiFi.
It will be connected fine then randomly out of the blue the internet will stop working and the WiFi symbol will have an exclamation mark next to it.
The only way to fix it is to disconnect and reconnect WiFi - untill it happens again.
All my other devices connect to the same WiFi network fine without any problems.
Any help please?

Thanks

Hi,

I purchased my Samsung Tab S10 Ultra tablet on Drcember 3rd delivered Dec. 5th and I have had no end of problems with the wifi being connected but no internet. I have reset router, tablet, factory reset, reinstalled, changed routers, used other family home router connections, re-erased wifi networks, stop, started and restarted. I have several Samsung devices and NONE of them have this issue! I even have the 2023 and 2024 bespoke refrigerator, range and washer combo all wifi connected without issues...ever. I reached out to Samsung and after they repeated the same steps that is suggested here, they advised me to send the product back for a refund. I got this Tab S10 Ultra on sale with trade in of my Apple iPad Pro 2023. Thank Goodness I didn't sent it away! It works beautifully! I am willing to give the Tab S10 Ultra a try but is there a solution for the wifi connection issue? I would like to keep using Samsung but they don't seem to be honest that there is an issue or willing to step up with a fix as far as I see on the Community forum. Any suggestions?

Thank you for the rapid response. I did that 1st thing but it didn't work. I am taking it back. I am reading that this may be a faulty tablet modem. Samsung is aware but offering no solution. Taking it back since I am in return window. Thanx for your assistance and support!

This feels like about the only thing that resembles what I am seeing. Close to the AP (Spectrum), all is solid forever, and my S7+ shows the WiFi icon with the "6". When I move farther away, I still see good signal, but the "6" is lost, and intenet connectivity flaps. (Other, non-ax devices work fine). It definitely looks like this S7+ is gagging changing bands/protocols . . . and no means to restrict what band/protocols is will use, or likely would be resolveable trivially.

I don't know why I am still using Samsung. Such a stupid bug that no one has it. Huge shame.
But anyway, it will come again one day because once in a while, only Samsung phones have that strange "!" on the wifi and all the people have a connection but not my Samsung phone...

it keeps happening on my brand new samsung galaxy tab s10+. (Tablet stays connected to WiFi, but suddenly drops internet after staying on lock screen for a while - requires turning wifi off and on each time). No such issue with my samsung phone (A35) or my laptop. All being used from the same room, right next to router.

Why are those samsung "AI" tablets so bugged and faulty?

Incredibly helpful and simple.  I had two devices -  one was connecting and the other not.  I read this and as soon as I saw the tablet was out of date - I adjusted it and it immediately connected.  Thanks for the solution.
