If it's a smartcase cover
you should have a Settings
General > Lock / Unlock option.

If the setting is not there, install the case
(if you haven't yet done so) and open/close it to enable the feature in Settings as mentioned above.

On the S6 Lite this works so maybe something similar.:
Settings>>Advanced Features>>Accessories>>Turn off Automatic Unlock & Auto Screen On And Off
