Thanks to @LucyC and @SocietyGirl for the opportunities to test this Device. I had indicated intt in this one and the Tab 10 Plus and whilst only able to try this out interesting to see how this Tablet compares to other Samsung Devices. I have not purchased a Tablet for a little while though.

Obviously this is a Budget Device and originally retailed at £139 and so will not compare with premium Devices, cheaper Devices though have improved throughout the years and it will suit some needs. It runs on the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC Processor which is obviously not the quickest , it has a 8.7 inch Display with 4GB of Ram and just 64 GB storage. This can be expanded with a Micro SD Card mind you . It does have dual sim support (including esim) but I have been mostly testing this via WiFi thus far. Maybe not too much of a surprise but there is no fingerprint scanner , still that is a bit of a disappointment for me as I have fan . Face Recognition seems to be most work mind you but it is not as secure. The peak Brightness is 570 nits and the Refresh Rate is restricted to 60Hz so it is not the dynamic Display out there but I am sure consumers would expect that.and for the price screen quality is reasonable.

So how does it fare in real life useage so far. Set up went smoothly enough and I transferred a number of files over, tested it out over wifi and there seemed to be an issue so used the cable connection, this can be advisable though anyway.  However when using the Devce initially it was pretty slow and laggy, after clearing the cache partition it is running a bit better. I must say that if you are typing a longer post/article it is not a great experience, might be a good idea to use a Wireless keyboard though if you are using this Tablet regularly.

For running Apps/general browsing it seems to work well enough with a number of Tabs open, if not the most fluid or quickest experience but gets the job done. More to follow.*

It's a bit slow but delivers, for £139 you can do basic tasks with it if you need a larger screen that that of a phone. Seamless Samsung software, myself I found the software itself a good experience.

I set up an A9 tab for my nan recently. As I'm use to my tab s9 ultra it certainly did feel pretty slow and laggy. For the price though it does the job what my nan needs it for.

yes the Samsung Eco system has the advantage of seamless connectivity  and easy to share between the range of my Samsung Devices.  I have tested the Text and calls on otherDevices and that works fine.  On your Galaxy phone go to Settings-Advanced Features-Call and Text on other Devices. see the Terms and conditions and Tap Agree.  Follow the same steps on a compatible Galaxy Tab.

I must say the Sound quality is better than I expected,  it varies though depending on the source, sometimes need to have the volume up pretty high.  I found it is more impressive with YouTube Tech videos though no surprise that it cannot match the quality of premium Devices. Galaxy Buds pro 3 work fine but obviously  not the same experience as on higher end Devices .  The video quality is fairly decent considering everything, more on that later.

Battery though takes a hit  with video particularly, it dropped 30%  when I had Prime video on for a few hours, similar with some tennis coverage from Rome (though usually watch that on TV)|

The main camera is 8 mp, selfie 2 mp and not the best (though obviously megapixels not the only factor in determining quality)  but for the price you cannnot expect anything approaching premium. still to do more testing though and so will report more on that  and videos later.
