I have a Samsung galaxy Tab 3 - I know, but I am saving the planet by re-using!.

the initial search o the internet is fine, but when I click on any link to move to a site, he message "couldnt establish a secure connection"

any thoughts on how to overcome this

Can you connect to http://neverssl.com ?

That error usually means something is going wrong with SSL/certificates. That link uses none of that. So if you can load it, it sorta narrows down the issue.

Older devices can have out of date security certificates, which break the modern web...

You might get luck trying a few different browser apps. Some handle certificates themselves

I like using old tech. However unsupported OS can give this kind of errors. There are some users who are more techy, maybe they can give you better advice.😊

As the tablet 3 is rather old now in tech terms and not supported anymore it rather likely undered power for today's Internet connection therefore can't secure a proper Internet connection. I had a S tablet 6 a few years ago and that was slow so I'd think the tab 3 is the same.

That site was just testing to see if you could load it. The site isn't a fix or anything.

It just sorta confirms your issue is with certificates/ssl
