Severe color banding on new S9 ultra no matter the content

Can someone with a tab s9 ultra go to 'screen mode' settings at 25-30% brightness and take a picture of this screen?

I'm seeing very bad banding and it doesn't matter the type of content whether it's high bitrate or low bitrate, happens to all photos and videos, it's especially worse at lower brightnesses but it's still visible at 100% brightness. I never had this problem on the s8+ that I traded in with.

s9 ultra:

S22 ultra for reference

Look at how smooth the transition / gradient is

I've tried turning on and off vivid mode, eye comfort shield, nothing is helping.

This is mine at around 30% brightness.

yours look a bit smoother than mine, do you see any distinct lines with your eyes? mine is really distracting when watching videos
