Hi @SGP89 Welcome to the Samsung community
Very sorry to hear this, was obviously a serious issue. Samsung do have the 8 point Battery safety check but some issues can still occur. https://www.samsung.com/us/explore/committed-to-quality/
This should be thoroughly investigated.
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

When batteries were user replaceable, battery problems were few and far between! When a battery appeared to be having problems, you could inspect it, even replace it. Now with planned obsolescence, the battery is sealed in place awaiting a catastrophic failure! Hopefully, the EU will mandate replaceable batteries, like it mandated USB C on mobile phones. And I really don't want to hear about IP waterproof standards. That's for marketing! Real world you drop your mobile phone in a sink full of water it's a goner! IP whatever number, it's dead or dying.
