Hi @H5na  The  S6 may be  suitable for your purposes and  will function well enough, the S7 though for instance has a faster processor, double the refresh rate (120 Hz) and a more powerful Battery.  Still has security updates  till 2024 as well. Can see some comparisons here as a guide https://www.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-s7-vs-tab-s6

It's stilla great tablet, but probably lacks Microsoft integration well the latest, but just use it until you think it is not doing what you want.

If its the S6 and not the Lite version then it's a super AMOLED screen so amazing.

Later if you do decide to upgrade do not go for a Samsung tablet, consider the Book2 i5 laptop, can be found new for £400 or second hand for less, not AMOLED but the Samsung integration is superb and it's so light, I had one but upped to the Book2 Pro 15.6.

Note: I gave up my S8 Ultra with keyboard as for work it just could not multi task as well as a laptop, but for 80% of things the tablet was awesome.

Would personally go for the latest offering you can afford. Just for more updates and better hardware.

S6 is a great tablet though out of scope for updates now, hence I've just got the S9... but is worthwhile going for something with updates still being sent out.

Yeah! I already have a laptop which I assume is gonna be most suitable for most things Academic for my degree I just wanted a small cheaper tablet for small things like quick little notes, youtube, non academic use etc and the S6 seems perfect as an extra little thing!

Thank you !!

100% it's up to that and I regretted upgrading my S6, for the pittance trade in value I shouldnhave kept it as a household surfing, remote tablet
