Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra S Pen/Screen Issue

I'm actually on my 2nd Tab S9 Ultra and experiencing the same problem I have with the first. Whereby there's a loss of touch sensitivity in the top left corner on the screen. The best way to describe this is if you have the tablet in portrait orientation with a web browser open and go to click on the left most tab, nothing happens. It doesn't just affect a web browser, but other apps as well.

This happens whether I use my finger or S-pen. I can tap it 10+ times and it just will not register. At some point it will just start working again. It doesn't matter whether I have a glass screen protector on or not, whether the screen is clean or dirty. etc. It just locks up.

I've tried all the usual stuff like resetting the pen/tablet, turning on/off settings, swapping out the nib, etc. Running diagnostics doesn't flag anything.

Having had the previous versions of the Galaxy Tab, this is the first time I've had an issue with them.

Just wondering whether anyone experienced a similar issue or have any suggestions, otherwise this one's going to have to go back.

The only time I do get trouble with the screen not responding to my finger is when I have the s pen in hand at the same time. Think it gets confused if the s pen is too close to the screen. As when I put the s pen down it registers my finger. Case with magnets can effect the s pen from registering. So if you do have have a case with magnets, remove the case to rule the case out from being the problem.

Hi, thanks for your response. Know what you mean about magnets. Tried those pull-away magnetic charging cables and they play havoc with the screen sensitivity. Fingers + S-pen is a no no 👍.

This is such an annoying issue, having bi-passed my laptop, it's pretty much my Creator's desktop to tablet. This is driving me 🤪

I'll give it a go without the case. Thx

Have you run the maintenance routine. One of these tests is the screen. You will see if the screen is faulty or not.

It's called diagnostics not maintenance.

Hi, yep, done all that and nothing is flagging up. Problem is, by the time I've gone through to opening all
that up and getting it running, the problem could've gone again.

It could be an S-pen issue, but last time they just replaced the whole thing, rather than just sending out another pen, and I'm trying to avoid having to set-up another tablet.
