Thank you all for the replies.

I sent my S4 Tab to Samsung Customer Service and other external stores and they said that the screen is damaged and it needs to be replaced, and that would cost me 400 euros!!! I think it is ridiculous to pay such an amount for an issue that I didn't cause.

So far, no response from anyone from Samsung for this topic although with all these complaints.

I have contacted Samsung 3 times since the June update with the screen and wifi issue. They every time they just try to get me to do the same things over and over. They also claim no one has reported these issues which I doubt after seeing all the ones with the same problems on here. And like I said this was my third time so yes I know I reported it. They are trying to get me to send and my tablet and pay them to fix what they believe is a software issue. I told them I would not pay for what they did with their update. So anybody that hasn't reported it please call and do so. I have been using chat that is getting me nowhere, so I will be calling tomorrow.

I am experiencing the same issue as well. In fact I've already sent it out once, got it back yesterday, and same problem. Although I did notice that it booted up fine out of the box, but then once it updated to the latest software, then rebooted, it went to black screen and glitched. So...sending it back again (still under warranty thank goodness), but I am requesting they replace the unit if possible and see if that does anything good.

I also have this issue. The first time it was resolved by turning the device on and off. Now I have the issue permenatnly, and I have already tried to do a Factory Reset, Wipe Cache etc. The device is unusable. Looks like a hardware issue. If the hardware issue has been caused by a Samsung software update, that's a complete joke!

I am not sure what my options are as I have about 10 days before the warranty expires. I wanted to buy a Tab S7 but after this issue I will not.

Start a repair claim immediately.  If you report it before the warranty is up, the claim will be good until it is fixed.

HI I also started having this problem a few weeks ago and temporarily fixed it by turning the device off and on which worked for a couple of weeks but now it looks like it's permanent. I bought my tablet used last year on ebay so I don't think I can do any warranty claims 😞

On September 22, an update came to my tablet too.
Now half of the screen is occupied by black and white stripes.IMG_20201026_164213.jpg

I have just gotten a used S4 Tab in perfect condition and used it for a few days happily. Then it updated and I have the same exact screen problem. Has anyone been able to fix this issue?? It is disturbing... and I hope there is no permanent damage (seems like the update fried something), or Samsung will replace it.

My fix for this issue is to let the tablet running out of battery and startup again with factory reset
