Anyone know of a comparable or a better 8 inch tablet than the TabS2? The display is great.

RESOLVED FOR ME!! I had the same problem, and read all the posts with advice. Nothing worked for me. Like everyone else I was ready to throw my beloved S2 into the trash. Then I tried the following steps -and it worked!
1. I plugged the tablet to the wall charger and started charging.
2. Pressed Home key-Volume Up - Power key simultaneously.
3. The tablet stopped restarting.
4. I went to settings and performed a complete factory reset on the S2.
IT WORKED!! Now the tablet operates like a new one!

Good to hear, but that is a short term fix. I've been down that road a few times.
I use mine as an alarm now.
I have stripped it down to only a few apps, the minimum plus a couple I can't find in the appstore... anymore. Keeps

@Samsung -- its not very responsible of you all to not provide any responses to this. Disappointing...

I changed out the battery. That helped for a while, but then started restarting again. Gave up and bought a Samsung Tab S6 Lite. Great tablet. Heavier than the old Nook was, but has worked great. You might as well move on to it.
