frozen screen

A app has frozen on my  tablet for  hours now won't turn off is it broken  does anyone know,

Oh dear! Sounds like you need to do a forced shutdown. 

Try this: press and hold the power button and also the volume down button for up to 10 seconds (press both buttons simultaneously).  It should shut down.

If it doesn't then:  Press the power button down for at least 2 minutes without releasing it.

you are a diamond R2wo it worked I love my tablet and would be lost without it so again thanks
