Does S9 tab ultra support hdmi via usb c port

I purchased an adapter and getting video but no sound trying to stream Netflix and YouTube onto my TV, when trying to stream Skygo I get neither but getting a message saying that the device is blocking it?

 I did try using a couple of other HDMI cables which works with other devices but no joy, I'm now thinking it's a faulty adapter or the device doesn't support hdmi output, can anyone clarify, thanks in advance 👍

Check that volume up on the tab, can't recall top of head if it still active, then is down to TV/Monitor volume then.

I drive mine through a computer monitor but that shouldn't make a difference.

Thanks for that Clive, I'll give it a try later on, I believe I had the volume on the s9 set quite high when I entered Dex mode but maybe when you connect hdmi it changes the volume level? Never used the tab volume at all, I know the TV was set pretty high and did manually boost it again to hear it properly, the sound was actually better on the tab tbh.
I'll put an update on the thread later if I manage to resolve the sound issue, cheers buddy 👍

Clive, tried this earlier but had to turn the volume almost all the way up to get decent sound on TV, may try another adapter or might invest in a soundbar and connect to the s9 via Bluetooth, probably the best option, I tried a few av sources and they were all producing the same low levels. just to confirm you can stream SkyGo from a laptop, mine works perfectly. from a Tab or phone, Well thats another matter.

why dont you test the adapter by streaming a personal video to your TV. Neflix, Prime and SkyGo have different rules when streaming from devices

just a thought, some time ago i bought a cheap mirrorcast or screencast dongle from amazon. plugged it into the back of my Humax box at the time and it worked perfect when casting from my Z Fold phone. i would think if your TV doesnt support casting then think about a dongle. mind you i bought an Nvidia Shield TV (pricey but worth it) and now i have no issues. its Android and you can download apps etc. good luck.

Hi, yeah it's not a TV it's only about 8in x 6in, but it's an android similar to the amazon stick. But much much faster and better. I never use anything else now even though I have an android Sony TV. Get the PRO version though, the cheaper tube thing isn't as good. Good luck

Sorry just a bit extra. The NVidia Shield also has internal memory and you can add memory sticks to increase memory. You can also run Plex Server from it and use the memory to store videos. Plus of course cromecast from your Tab S9. I have the Tab S9 plus, haven't tried Dex yet but I'm sure it's a possibility haha. Cheers
