Connect Samsung S9 FE with projector

I HAVE Samsung S9 FE and I need to connect it with a projector by using hdmi adapter ..I tried many times but doesn't present anything on the screen not like Apple iPad just plug in and the screen appears immediately ,,,, I am a teacher and I bought it to help me in school

I don't believe the S9 FE supports MHL (mobile high-definition link) unfortunately.

Thank you for replaying.  Is that mean there is no way to use this tablet for presenting by wire. Or there is  away or something I can buy to support it to do so
