When I enter the PIN it keeps saying to retry. Have tried the power+down volume button to power down but not working.

Hey there Michelle-T!
Do you have a Samsung Account signed in on your tablet? If so, log into your Samsung Account on your computer or phone, and go to Find my Mobile. Select your tablet and choose the Unlock Device option. This should remove your PIN from your tablet and let you back in, but you might need to reconfigure banking apps etc.
If this doesn't help, you might need to reset your tablet, which you can do by holding Power+Vol Down, and then Power+Vol Up to get into the recovery menu.
