Can I update from Android 7 on my Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T813?

I have a Tab S2 and am starting to get some apps say I need to update them. But I can't as the updated apps don't support as far back as Android 7.  So how do I update to 8 or higher?  The Settings check for updates manually just says I am on the latest version.  The Samsung support chat person said the device is scheduled for update but can give no timescale.  I also can't quite believe when my phone is nagging me to go to 11 that this tablet is stuck on 7.  Does anyone have any advice?  Thanks.   #android7  #update

Updating your Android.

1. Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi.

2. Open Settings.

3. Select About Phone.

4. Tap Check for Updates.
If an update is available, an Update button will appear. Tap it.

5. Install.
Depending on the OS, you'll see Install Now, Reboot and install, or Install System Software. Tap it. Your phone will reboot.

I agree that Samsung are very poor in only offering updates on Tablet S2 Tab SM-T813 to Android 7.0. Built in obsolescence of this order these days is poor practice.
