With the new gestures can we just have the bar and not have a bit of the display cut off

Could you please provide more details? Which part of the display is cut off? How does it look in different apps? Does it happen only when the gestures are on?

In my case the screen displays everything normally, just like on this screenshot:

If I understand correctly I think the OP was suggesting that the white part of the new gesture bar is made 100% transparent and just the grey central bar remains visible. If I have understood correctly then I second that!
