Stacked Notifications - why?

The new iOS-style stacked notifications in OneUI 7 are absolutely awful and far less efficient than what we had before in OneUI 6.1. Previously, I could see multiple notifications from an app grouped together in one compact card. There was no need to expand the card unless I wanted to take action on one of the notifications. Now, I can only see the most recent notification for any given app and I have to expand the stack every time just to see the rest.

This feels like a huge, clunky step backwards so please Samsung at least give us a setting to let us switch back to Android-style listed notifications instead of these stacked ones. 

I was enjoying my S24 Ultra up until this change, but I must admit, I'm seriously thinking of heading back to Pixel now.

Yuck! What the hell have they done to this new UI, why are they making it like apple, its disgusting and a huge step back indeed, now the notifications are just a mess i dont need to see a bubble that takes up half my screen for each individual time someone likes a photo or comments surely i just need to change a setting because i dont want to spend my whole day clearing each persons notification individually instead of clearing it as a group per app. Like everyone is saying please fix it up or else this phone has gone from amazing phone to a terrible device instantly. Needs an update fix asap or else all the loyal samsung/android users are jus gonna throw it out for. Also the visually it just looks gross.

Seems like a mistake that can get fixed because been a loyal samsung user all my life and this update for the first time has been a total turn off.

This is the worst update ever, not once have I had to implement all my custom settings after an update, but OneUI 7 arrives and I spend a whole day figuring out whats happened, why my phone has gone back to default mode on everything, and researching how to get that setting back...which in some cases was a "you cant". Mugs, Android is known for its endless customization ability...but then oneUI 7 happened, and we are all now poundshop iphone wannabe users

just got one UI 7 and I absolutely agree with everyone else here this is a terrible change and makes the entire point of the notification shade - looking at all my notifications at a glance - impossible.

Updated recently and it's horrible! Pretty much every change on One UI 7 has problems, but the majority of them I could fix with Good Lock, can the devs please at least add an option to revert back the old notifications through Good Lock?

There are complaints about it everywhere. Like all over the internet. Please allow to unstack google message notifications.

Please fix this as the UX is really poor. It no longer possible to see all my notifications at a glance. It also not easy to distinguish between a single and a stacked set of notifications.

Agreed, this is driving me nuts. My calendar app used to show me separate notifications for each event, now they all stack up under one, and I miss reminders and/or accidentally dismiss everything in one swipe. The new UI is terrible, ugly super-rounded corners, wasted space, no labels on icons that used to have them, less customization... Terrible.

Agree. This is driving me insane. Paid a fortune for S25 Ultra and the notifications feel like a massive downgrade from my 5 year old Oneplus 7pro. It's so bad that any benefit I may have from upgrading device is overshadowed by the way Samsung handles notifications. Please fix. Surely nobody wants this

I also created an account just to reply to this thread. Please please forward to the team and have them give the option for people to just how the notifications are grouped/stacked. This is the most annoying and terrible change. I'm an application developer myself, and I think this UI change is just plainly bad and not customer friendly (by forcing behavior change to everyone)

Dusted off my account login details to comment and bring attention to this thread. As the original post has requested, please at the very least provide the OPTION to choose the listed style of notifications (previously available on OneUI 6 and now only available on Google Pixel? (as far as I can tell). This change has been a significant downgrade in terms of the user experience and I echo others in this thread when I say this is the major drawback that is severely affecting my opinion of OneUI7. What is disappointing is seeing that this change looks to be continuing in previews of OneUI 8...
