Lockscreen notification panel

When swiping down for the notification panel on the lockscreen, the animation is coherent, however when swiping back up, the clock appears suddenly which makes the UI seem less fluid. Can this be animated in a way to restore fluidity?

Great shout, would look much nicer if it faded back in or popped in with a nice animation
