I'm not looking at Apple at all ... But I feel like the current lock screen now lacks behind the latest IOS 16 in style and functionality. I'm not saying I know what we should have but something new would be nice.

Definitely! The always on display also looks better on IOS

Yeah I agree, although I feel like IOS' AoD would maybe use more battery than just a clock or so? But then maybe not much.

Gotta disagree with that one, since that isn't really a AOD but just a dimmed screen running at 1hz. Samsung and other android manufacturers have steered away from what apple just did because the point of AOD is meant to be minimal and save the most power, so black background with only vital info

@Juli3n,

Thank you for sharing your opinion. 🙂

Unfortunately, more votes are required to proceed with your suggestion. Design-related suggestions can be highly individualized, therefore their implementation depends on the number of users supporting such an idea.

So, if your post gathers a large number of likes or comments from different users, this will increase the chance that it will be taken into consideration.🤞

Of course, just dropping my suggestions on there hoping this catches the devs eyes. I wonder though, what sort of likes number we're talking about here to even be considered? I'm asking because over the years of beta testing I've participated, I don't recall threads with super high numbers of likes. I'm assuming each country that participates in the beta programs will have their own forums as well. Also curious how many beta testers are allowed per country?

It's not just the iOS lock screen customisation that lacks a bit of that style and functionality... The ability to tap a person or object in an iphone photo, have it instantly autoselected, and for it then to be drag-able as a cut-out image in to other apps... So simple and intuitive (and yes, perhaps it's a bit gimmicky). It does though make the Samsung photo editor equivalent look archaic and clunky. Likewise, I agree with @Juli3n that "something new would be nice", because for me personally, I don't feel that OneUI 5 has actually moved the dial that much in terms of features.
