My biggest gripe with this handset (S22 Ultra) is the heavy handed post processing on JPEGS. Please can we have an option to reduce or remove it entirely?

I'm affraid that the way how Samsung process pictures is by design and won't be changed.

But you can use Pro mode or Expert RAW application where is output RAW and that you can process manually with preferred settings.

@CathHumes2,

With @Libb's advice, were you able to get the expected result? 🤔

Hi, no, the post processing is OTT in both the Camera app and ExpertRAW. I've supplied comparison images from Note 9 and S22 Ultra to Samsung showing the issue. It's shocking that images from the Note 9 are so obviously superior.

RAW is not raw output in the normal sense of the phrase. Post processing is still applied even there.

@CathHumes2 ,

In that case, I am forwarding this suggestion to the development team, which will decide whether something can be done.

Thank you for reporting this! 🙂

Is raw ever going to be fixed ? S23 still bakes in the sharpening which means it isn't a raw file . I'm fine with samsung processing how they want (it their phone ) but if you claim.to.donraw you need to actually do it, currently you don't
