Solve for Tomorrow aims to engage, empower and represent the voice of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled and marginalised groups through an alternative education experience.
Diversity, Equality & Inclusion is our third of the 4 themes within the Solve for Tomorrow programme. Guided by The Receipts Podcast, Safiya Ahmed (Graphic designer & co-founder of Ricebox Studio), Charlene Hunter (CEO & Founder of Coding Black Females) and Charlie Dark (DJ, Poet & Founder of Run Dem Crew), explore how we can design a more diverse and inclusive future.
Safiya Ahmed shares with us what is happening in the space at the moment using inspiring examples, as well as sharing all she is doing to build a more diverse and inclusive future through her work.
Charlene brings to life her built solution to DEI within the tech industry, Coding Black Females. What started as a Meetup group, grew into an organisation with over 4000 members globally, offering opportunities, events, mentorship and training for Black women. She teaches us the power of finding your community and people who support your mission.
Finally, expert Charlie Dark who draws from his personal experiences and shares the importance of building inclusive communities. His radio station RunDem Radio provides a place where he can reach a broad spectrum of people and can amplify the voices who need to be heard.
