Hey, I used to get Spotify as normal on my Family hub fridge. The screen would pretty much show as it does on your phone but now it’s like I can only use the fridge as a speaker and cannot proceed past the screen shown in my photo. I can play songs but completely controlled from my iPhone not the fridge. Does anyone else have this issue? All software seems to be updated. I’ve followed the instructions on the screen and it just plays the song through the speaker in the background

Hello, this is exactly how it is supposed to work, due to the fact that the fridge is a public appliance, meaning that anyone living with you would be able to have access to your spotify account. There is no need to worry, and nothing is broken. Once you link your fridge once, you will be able to connect to it when playing music on Spotify whenever you like.

Also as spotify does not allow you to play music from multiple devices at once, you wouldn't be able to use your account if someone in your home was using spotify on the fridge.

Thank you. I should clarify more. I’ve had the fridge for nearly a year and used to be able to use Spotify as if it was a smart device as shown below but now I just get the screen on posted in my original post and everything needs to be controlled from my phone. So somethings changed

Hello, it might just be that spotify has ended support for using the app natively from your samsung fridge. This would be a spotify issue as opposed to a samsung issue instead. I believe spotify might have ended support for that feature.

In which case, using it from your mobile device might be the only alternative.
