Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 review

I thought I would share my experience using the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 for the last few months with my fellow members.

The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 is a significant improvement over its predecessor, offering more precise tracking, a sleeker design, and longer battery life.

It utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy for long range tracking and Ultra Wideband (UWB) for super accurate short-range finding. You can even use AR mode on your Samsung phone to visually locate the tag.

Here are some of its key features:

 * Sleek and compact design with a keyring hole

Overall, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 is a great option for Samsung Galaxy users looking for a reliable and feature-rich item tracker. It takes a generic button cell battery like in watches so easy to replace and you will be notified when it is running low. 

Tracking via my S24 Ultra 

I love the immediate ability to track the Tag2 when it is in your location so for example I misplaced my keys in my house but used my phone to track them to my blazer hanging in my wardrobe.

There's also a speaker built in which allows you to sound a ring from your Tag2 allowing you to hear where it is via your phone and the smarthings app.

Personally I have enjoyed having the peace of mind knowing that I can track my keys when needed. Any questions please feel free to ask.

Anyone know if uwb find works with s24 ultra phones yet, I know it didn’t work on all s24 phone earlier

I think they need an update for it to work.

Hi.. let's say I've lost my keys whilst out walking my dog, will I be able to find them??? Thanks...

Yes you should be able to, it should show last location once out of range and when you get closer it will reconnect and let you use your phone to point you in the right direction and play the beep on your tag.

Samsung Smart Tag 2 is useless. Fails to work most of the time, need constant resets so if you lose something it probably will not work. Don't waste your money

You're kidding right? The smart tag 1 worked flawlessly. Smart tag 2 has to many problems to even list. I have to repeatedly press it and if I'm lucky it might ring my phone, and if I try and find my keys it rings for about 3 seconds before the sound fizzles out. Why do you think the smart tag 1 is so expensive $69 because it's valuable because it actually works.

I'm going to be straight up honest: I think the Samsung SmartTags are terrible and cost too much. Their location tracking is so bad—it rarely updates, is never accurate, and isn't nearly as responsive as it should be. I have three tags, and I thought my wallet was stolen because it gave me a location so far away. I almost had a heart attack, only to find it later in my room. It's that bad. I will never buy them again; they are useless, just like many other people have said.

Samsung, please fix this! I love Samsung. I love their TVs, their phones—I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. I want them to get better and better and eventually overtake Apple. I love their customization, I love their smartwatches, their tablets, even their gaming monitors are good. I want to buy a laptop eventually, but they really have to fix the small things, like the SmartTags and their tracking abilities. It's not even close to some other trackers out there. I might switch just because Apple's Find My app is so much better. I can track my family and friends' locations, and it's very close and exact. This is very disappointing. I'm very disappointed.
